Try To Remember...
|

Uncle Phay Downey was the first of a line of Presbyterian ministers. And each
of his and Aunt Pearl's four children spent a lifetime in the ministry as well, beginning with their identical twins, Bill
and Earl Downey, and then daughters, first Dorothy then Jean Downey. Read their story in the following newspaper article
as reported in 1997--- 13-years after Aunt Pearl's death in 1984 and 11-years after Uncle Phay's death in 1986. Twins Bill
and Earl would later pass on in 2000 and 2003, respectively, leaving only their two daughters, Dorothy and Jean, as of this
date (April,2009)--- along with their respective husbands, Jim and Owen, who continue to live out their years of
unbroken vows, both in terms of lifelong marriages and in their commitment of service to Christians everywhere in
the name of Christ, Jesus.
